While the wait on their sophomore album is getting longer & longer, here’s Future Perfect, an almost perfect debut. Noisy soundscapes in the background, heavy riffing in the foreground & and fantastic drumming. Think My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive & earlier Smashing Pumpkins.

Russian Circles – Enter
Russian Circles are a trio from Chicago that make beautiful instrumental music. I guess post-rock would be the defining genre to tag this with. Noise, heavy riffing & frozen, eery melodies. They have a new album out in May on Suicide Squeeze Records, but until then enjoy their first album; Enter (2006).
